»On linear relations of cohomological invariants of compact complex manifolds«

Abstract:
In his famours problem list from the 50s, Hirzebruch asked which linear combinations of Hodge and Chern numbers are topological invariants of compact projective or Kähler manifolds. This was solved relatively recently by Kotschick and Schreieder. Hirzebruch also added that one may ask the same question for all compact complex manifolds. In this talk, I will present a solution for this and some related questions, extending the method of Kotschick and Schreieder. I will also explain how for general compact complex manifolds one should really be asking a more general question and how one can reduce this general question to a finite number of construction problems in every dimension (which I can partly solve).
