»Information Geometry and Optimization for Image Labelling and Discrete Tomography«

Abstract:
In the first part of the talk, I will introduce the assignment flow, a dynamical system on an elementary statistical manifold, for contextual metric data classification on graphs. I will further discuss parameter learning via a refined linearization of assignment flows and low-rank exponential integration. Shifting focus to the second part, I will outline a geometric multilevel optimization technique for discrete image reconstruction from under-sampled projection data.
