»A Chern Character for Equivariant K-theory«

Abstract:
K-theory is a tool to understand the vector bundles over a space and as such has wide applications, in particular in Physics and solving pde's. As it is notoriously hard to compute, one can use the Chern character to compare it to ordinary cohomology. For equivariant K-theory there is a corresponding comparison map to an equivariant cohomology. The talk is about a model for equivariant K-theory and some aspects of the construction of the map and the conditions under which we get an isomorphism.
